Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem

Mr. Kwasi Kwaning-Bosompem is a Member of the Board when it comes to the management and administration of Energy fund as stipulated by section 43 of the Energy Commission, Act 1997 (Act 541).

He is currently the Controller and Accountant -General of the Republic of Ghana. He has 34 years of reputable service in the public sector of Ghana and has held senior leadership and managerial positions in numerous governmental institutions, agencies, local governments, and private entities. He specifically served the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA), the Controller and Accountant-Department General's (CAGD), Ghana Cement Works and Driver and Vehicle License Authority, among other organizations.

He possesses an MBA in Strategic Management from the Paris Graduate School of Management and is a Chartered Management Accountant with 29 years of post-qualification experience. He’s also a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Ghana and has done courses in Management and ICT. He is skilled and passionate about Public Sector Reforms and Institutional restructuring. He made a key contribution to the creation of Ghana's National Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Policy, which ensures local content, affordability, effective risk allocation, and value for money in the marketing and management of PPPs. In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he assisted the adoption of the Programme Based Budgeting System, a significant policy change in the Ghanaian government's budget planning procedure. To secure the greatest results, Mr. Kwaning-Bosompem has consistently upheld the highest professional standards.
He sits on the Board of the Ghana Road Fund and serves on the council of the Ghana Institute of Chartered Accountants. He also served on the boards of the Accra Abattoir and the Makola Market Company. He has lots of International exposure through training and conferences.

Mr. Kwaning-Bosompem was inducted into the Ghana Leadership Hall of Fame and given an award in 2019 under the category of Governance and Civil Leadership Awards of the Year. Mr. Kwaning-Bosompem was among 12 outstanding individuals honoured by the 2021 West African Nobles Forum (WANF) at its 32nd Annual Congress and Awards for exhibiting integrity and excellence in both his public and private life. He is married with two children.
