HR, ADMINISTRATION AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS UNIT
The Administration and Human Resource Unit is the main support wing of the Commission, providing support services including personnel administration functions such as manpower planning; recruitment (including specifying jobs and roles) and separation of staff (i.e. retirement/termination); as well as human resource management and development policy formulation and implementation, including compliance with such policies and regulations.

NATURAL GAS
The Natural Gas Division of the Energy Commission of Ghana is responsible for matters relating to the natural gas industry: initiating and recommending the licensing of providers of energy derived from natural gas, elaboration of technical and safety rules, regulations and standards for the natural gas industry; inspection and monitoring of compliance with the rules, regulations and codes of practice by natural gas operators. -
INSPECTORATE
The Inspection Unit of the Energy Commission is responsible for the enforcement of Licensing conditions, Regulations, Rules, Codes of Practice and Standard of Performance rules by Service Providers in the Electricity, Natural Gas and Renewable Energy Industry. -
POWER
The Power Division of the Energy Commission is responsible for matters relating to generation and supply of electric power; licensing of electricity service providers; elaboration of regulations, codes of practice, guidelines and procedures for the electricity supply and distribution industry; and inspection and monitoring of compliance with licensing terms & conditions, regulations, rules and codes of practice by service providers in the power sector. -
RENEWABLE ENERGY
The Renewable Energy Division is responsible for managing, developing and promoting renewable energy resources, technologies and generation in Ghana. Its efforts are focused on solar photovoltaic systems for stand-alone and grid connected; wind energy resource assessment and generation; mini/small hydro development; and bioenergy resource assessment and development to enhance food security, environmental safety and health. -
SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT (SEIA)
The SEIA division is responsible for conducting social and environmental impact assessment of energy sector activities that relates to energy products supply and consumption. -
STRATEGIC PLANNING & POLICY
